Default Ideas to make Guild Wars Better!

Heres a few great ideas which would make the game so g00d.

1/ Guild allies
There should be an option where guilds can ally with each other making guilds more powerful and stronger maybe? This could make the wars bigger and huge!

2/ Riding!
Warriors and others should be able to buy horse's and then be able to ride them.
Rangers should be able to ride on certain of there pets and also buy horse's aswell.
This would be great moving would be faster and the hp should be added to the horse, if the horse dies you fall of the and carry on fighting.. i hope you know what i mean.. -_-

3/ Jobs
There should be a list of different jobs to do, just say you chose blacksmith and you had to aquire certain items to creat something you would increase the ranking of that job...

Hm.. it seems as if this is all i can remember for now...

if anyone else has more ideas lets here'em

They don't want job's, crafting and the such... they dont want it to be a "click fest"/"boredom parade"...

And i think the speed of running is fine the way it is really, besides the fact that you can teleport to where you've been. Although i wouldnt be bothered if it was added for pve once the map becomes incredibly big/whatever it does when the expansions start pouring out.

I'd personally love to have riding animals later on down the road, when the whole world gets pretty big. Long as they can take damage and die, too.

1) Yes, this would be nice. DAOC had the best guild alliance system ive seen in any mmorpg. Officesr could chat with the alliance and all kinds of stuff.

2) That would be nice, you don't get too many special things that stand out as a warrior. I wish I could ride a warhorse, even if its only for pve.

3) That would be great, but I don't see it happening just because of how the game works right now. I would love to see tradeskills, as it would further promote more social activity.

Sounds way too Lineage 2. Alliances, flying on dragons, jobs. I believe none of that would fit into GuildWars. Lets see, you form a party of 6 people and one rides a horse. Where's the fun when one is faster than the other. It's about the group. Then I don't see how alliances would work as you don't have 50 vs 50 wars, or sieges where immence amount of players is required. And jobs.. well, you already have professions, why make it more complicated. I played L2 and was a blacksmith, but such a thing would never fit in GW as it will ruin the whole gameplay.

I believe the develoeprs have done a great job on how it is, gameplay wise. There're however some little things that would make things easier, for instance skill set profiling, or sorting items at the Armor shop (if you want to see only Ascalon gear, you choose Ascalon from the drop down box and you see only those).

Yes, I really think Alliances should be in the Guilds part of the game. It will stop us posting here about how good this guild did and how badly that guild has done etc. I really think that would work in a future Build

Also, the Jobs ability sounds promising, and the ability to change PRIMARY PROFESSIONS must be implemented, as a few players might be regretting they chose the build they didn't want. I know you can change the Secondary Profession, but...

You can change the 2nd one? how? Pretty sure your stuck with it once you select one.

1. Maybe... its called guild wars and I feel this should be the way it always is, you should be able to ally with people.

2. This idea would work, but only if there were some rules to it, for example you can only use your ride if everyone in the party as one, because as stated its annoying already with dumbasses running off, place that same person on a horse and see the danger it brings.

3. Jobs would be cool, would bring a new element to PvE and the PvP *****s will remain happy. We could use leather and skins to create custom player armor, or make special weapons and all sorts

People are so worried that adding anything non-PvP is going to spoil the game, but I have to see a good reason as to why.

You can do it post-ascension.

Yes, let's turn Guild Wars into World of Warcraft. I mean, we're all here because we really want to play WoW, right?

I could see alliances being a good thing. You could use an alliance members to run practise GvG matches, or call on one or two to help you if your missing a person or two from a full team.

If you're a warrior and you want to move faster, just keep sprint with you and keep using it to go faster. That's what I always do.

Alliances could work if they are kept small, 2 or 3 guilds max. Otherwise I can forsee the balance of power always being with the largest alliance. For small guilds, alliances can be a real benefit.

no, but don't see what's wrong with adding new features besides PvP.

What balance of power? - It's not like guilds can conspire to hold the Hall of Heroes; only one can win at a time and then the others have more than a few battles to get back there, provided that they don't fight each other on the way. Guild alliances would be convenient to find groups for whatever you want to do, and I don't see the downside to them.

On the other hand, the other two ideas reek to high heaven. There's already instant teleportation, adding mounts would be silly and unoriginal, not to mention distracting and inconvenient to those parties that are split. Let's not even begin to think about what the ramifications would be if they were allowed in PvP.

Crafting is covered by the NPCs perfectly adequately and it would be rather irritating to add it. It doesn't fit well with the theme of the game. World of Warcraft is a very entertaining game and I enjoy it very much, but it is not Guild Wars and they should remain separate entities. Guild Wars is Guild Wars, not World of Warcraft without a monthly fee.

There are other features...people just lose sight of the fact Guild Wars is not an MMORPG. Emulating others (which many of us have played and are delighted to be leaving behind for Guild Wars) sort of cheapens the goal of Guild Wars.

Guild alliances: good.

Mounts: bad.
This sort of defeats the purpose of the haste abilities for elementalists, rangers, warriors (including an elite of theirs), and mesmers. Rangers can already have pets, but there shouldn't be a reason to force players to have to kill a mount before they can get to the fluffy nougat core of the rider. It either brings an unnecessary facet of complication to an already complex combat system or it's just for show. Neither would really get my support. :P

Jobs: bad.
Crafting as it is in Guild Wars is tolerable because you can do it between missions, fights, whatever. I never liked crafting systems that expected years from me to excel in. I don't really *want* Guild Wars to become an MMO. I like the simplicity of what's there, though I would like to see more options for crafting items. I'd like to see hard-to-find blacksmiths who can forge a sword for a large fee and some annoying components that has a random bonus attached to it. I'd like to see the ability to craft melee weapons/focuses/staffs/wands to be made more extensive, especially end-game. If you like the shadow sword style, you can get your happy ass to the Fissure of Woe to have one crafted (and roll the dice on its bonus(es). If you like hammers, you can find a forge in the Frozen Forest.
